It was constructed in the year of 1431. Haji Ali is spread in an area of 5000 sq.metres. It is also divided in three parts: - The Dargah, The Mosque and The Sanatorium. It houses the tomb of Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari- A Muslim Saint. Hence, it's name. There is always a line of people waiting to go inside the Dargah, You will notice that there are people of different religion, status and nationality. The sight that attracts tourists is the Mughal style architecture with it's minarets and a marble-covered entrance.

A Guru ( Teacher ), Navneet Sinha: - "I think this is the only Dargah in side the Sea. It is one of the old traditional dargah where people from all religion visit for there wish to be fulfilled. You have to walk a mile from main road on a sea road to reach Dargah. Normally people offer Prayers and Chadar ( Thin blanket for God ) on fulfilment of their wish. During high tide the approach road is covered with water."

Coming to Haji Ali Dargah and not going to Haji Ali Juice Centre, on the main road right outside the Dragah is like going to Paris and not seeing Eiffel Tower. This centre serves some of the most refreshing and fresh fruit juices and milkshakes. It also serves the most toothsome sandwiches and pizzas you might have eaten. Another holy place for Hindus, to visit after the Dargah is the Mahalakhsmi Temple situated on B.Desai road in Breach Candy.
